Arie Luyendyk, Jr Says “Life Is Great” Amidst Rumors Chris Soules Is Bachelor 2015

We held out hope for an unconventional Bachelor 2015 choice from ABC, but it looks like we will get what we were told all along: Andi Dorfman cast-off and hunky farmer Chris Soules is reportedly the network’s official choice to date 25 women next year. Everyone take a moment to send good feels to Arie Luyendyk, Jr..

Now, we should make it clear that we’re happy for dimple-faced cutie Chris. The Iowa native is certainly a worthy lead, what with his All-American good looks and good boy charm. Not to mention, he genuinely seems like a good guy who was wooing Andi for, say it with us now, the right reasons! Producers aren’t exactly misstepping here.

That all being said, wasn’t it sort of exciting to picture an Arie-fronted season for a little while? Sure, you could argue that the Nordic racer — affectionately remembered as “the kissing bandit” for his amazing lip game on Emily Maynard’s Bachelorette 8 — already had his time in the sun. And yes, we’d have loved to see him snag the gig a couple years back. But on the other hand, he sure would have been a surprise… and the lucky winner wouldn’t have to feel qualms about moving to Iowa à la Andi!

Don’t cry for Arie, though. Just this week, in the midst of all these Chris rumors, a Twitter fan asked the tall, dark, and handsome fella about his current state, writing, “How is your spiritual journey going?” Arie’s response? “Good man, life is great.”

Thatta boy! Good to see that this eligible bachelor (even if he’s not the Bachelor) is bouncing back. Plus, silver lining: You actually get to pick your girlfriend now. Wins all around!

Are you sad you won’t be seeing Arie as Bachelor, or are you still holding out hope? Sound off in the comments below.
